Rare reece.twiggwhite Posted September 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2017 Hi All! Just wondering if anyone had had any bad experiences in here? We went on a cruise two years ago and the first day we went in and won a fair bit, we popped in every now and again over the holiday then one day, we were on the table and guy working it, as soon as the ball dropped, cleared everyones bets off before paying out, it got sorted but was unusual, Then a few days later something similar happened, we had bets on (I can't remember exactly but) a number, a colour and odd/even, the ball dropped and I looked to my other half and we both went "oh my god! we've come in on everything!!" and he then proceeded to only pay out on the number and colour, but had cleared all bets away. We queried it as we were adamant and he called the manager over who said he would have to check cameras, 15 minutes later he came back and said we were wrong and hadn't placed any outside bets in the past 10 rounds, which we know was not correct. So after that we didn't go back in as we knew it just wasn't right, Just wondering if anyone has had any similar issues since as we are going back on board in December and we do like a flutter, but we don't want to be made complete mugs of! ozzysdad Posted September 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2017 Surely the croupier would of placed a dolly on the winning numbers and left it there until all winning bets had been settled? If not then that's very bad form and tantamount to fraud.
john watson Posted September 19, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 19, 2017 Problem is the croupier puts the dolly on and focuses on that number quarters and halves. They often focus on colour and get those sorted and off the board. It's the rarer alleys, odds, evens etc. that can be whizzed over before you can appeal they are gone. I have not noticed this type of event actually happening on board. Regards John
majortom10 Posted September 19, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 19, 2017 If that happened to me I would ask to see the recording of the cameras and if refused would put it in writing and make a formal complaint.
mandylennon Posted September 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 20, 2017 My husband goes to the casinos onboard most nights and has never had a problem with the roulette tables. Yes I too would ask to see the recordings. When all said and done they don't want to loose your custom.
