Silly Clothing Question

We'll be on the Legend in less than three weeks... early seating for dinner because we're traveling with teens... and I was wondering if people stayed in what they wear to dinner for the rest of the evening then ... OR... if they change. I like to dress for dinner in at least a pantsuit or dress/skirt -- is that good to go for the rest of the evening??

Soem people change--some stay dressed.

 

On the first night we stay dress. go to the show head to the casino. Some people in tuxes standing next to people in shorts.

Second night we got changed.

We stayed dressed up for the shortest time possible.

 

However, tons of people kept on their finery.

We stayed dressed too.....it seemed too much hassle to go back up to the stateroom, get undressed and get dressed again after undressing from excursions or laying out in the sun and dressing for dinner.

I changed out of the formal dress on the first night after we went to the show - we had the early dinner too. My dress was starting to get uncomfortable. But there were people dressed up and others that weren't.

There will also be lots of people who eat on the Lido Deck for dinner and will be in shorts and t shirts the whole evening.

I only brought one suit and a couple of shirts. So after diner, I changed (except the shirt) and enjoyed the night. I think most were out of their formal wear by 10:00 PM.

Men have it so easy! My DH is just bringing his good black suit -- a couple of shirts and he's getting new ties from an attorney friend who designs them. We'd contemplated a tux, but one tie will be the rental of the tux! (and a gift that keeps on giving!)

We thought and basically did the same. Knowing now what we know; Pack everything, and then remove anywhere from 1/2 to 3/4's of what you packed. You'll then have only slightly more than what you'll actually need and use:D

I'll add my thoughts here. I plan to wear what I have on for the rest of the night. Especially on Formal night. I don't dress up much, so I will wear it until my son crashes that night, not to mention the time to do the hair, make-up thing. For the other nights, I will wear the same thing until bed.

Just be dressed in something....It is really frowned upon to be undressed roaming the ship...:rolleyes: :D I think that there is a thread around here about just that...:eek:LOL...I am sorry...I am tired...:rolleyes:

 

I am with TXfrye on this one, I love to get dressed up and don't get to very often, I actually dress up each night for dinner...so I stay that way all night too!! You'll see people from everything of shorts/tshirts roaming around to people in those spangly dresses!! It's kind of fun I think!! :)

I've only been on 1 other cruise (honeymoon) so we undessed and redressed more than most.... lol
