Tommy3putts Posted September 28, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 28, 2017 Just of the 23-27 Empress of the Seas (EoS) 4 night Cuba cruise. I’ll do a review later today or tomorrow. But just FYI for those who have EoS cruises scheduled out of Tampa in the next week or two. Recent sailings have been only 50-70% full. We had only 900 on our cruise. Same for the following cruise (September 27th). They are offering really good “next cruise” deals to passengers to stay on for the next cruise. For example for the next 5 night cruise (Key West, Havana and Cozumel) it was $250 pp for an ocean view and $300 pp for a JS. Needless to say we were so close to taking advantage but alas weren’t really prepared. So pack some extra clothes and bring extra meds. I expect future sailings may have similar offers. Cheers Tom
Clarea Posted September 28, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 28, 2017 Interesting, I wonder why they don't offer the discounted prices pre-cruise.
Ourusualbeach Posted September 28, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 28, 2017 Interesting, I wonder why they don't offer the discounted prices pre-cruise. They wouldn't want to go back on their promise to not deep discount last minute cruises:rolleyes:
Clarea Posted September 28, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 28, 2017 They wouldn't want to go back on their promise to not deep discount last minute cruises:rolleyes: Didn't they have some sort of corporate-speak that gave them an out for short cruises? Tommy3putts Posted September 28, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted September 28, 2017 Interesting, I wonder why they don't offer the discounted prices pre-cruise. Given the recent Hurricanes you would think they’d change this policy. Our cruise really seemed empty, and word has it that other cruises are the same. We saw a couple who lived in Tampa area that had been on two straight cruises and would have done it again, if they didn’t have plans on Sunday. Biker19 Posted September 28, 2017 #8 Share Posted September 28, 2017 They are now: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/ The cheapest pre cruise prices I've seen are at least $110 pppd - the prices the OP mentioned are almost 1/2 that. I wonder if the visa from one trip is good for the following trip. Biker, who needs to figure out how to get a work trip via Empress to Havana. Tommy3putts Posted September 28, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted September 28, 2017 Was wondering the same thing. That and what if any deals for drinks and internet. I would have needed to do some work. I wish I would have inquired further with Next Cruise while on board.
