Vista deck 9 mid ship balcony

I recently read on an old vista thread that it's the worst location on the ship due to noise. We will be in cabin 9322 which is mid ship on the port side. It appears to be under the blueiguana tequila bar. I have never stayed on deck 9 before. For those of you that have, is it that noisy?

any deck below Lido is going to have noise.

deck 9 will be louder than deck 7 or deck 8.

 

only you can determine if being under an active deck is an issue for you.

 

i'm a light sleeper so deck 9 wouldn't work for me.

We've only been on deck 7, on the Freedom, so I cant speak about that room on that ship, but i try to make sure we arent under a heavily traveled area when I pick a room. If you like the location and dont want to change, maybe pack some extra ear plugs just in case

Lots of noise and also lots of noise from the IMAX theatre.

I guess I was thinking that below the Blueiguana it wouldn't be that bad. I forgot about the IMAX. Oh well, I guess I will just have to take full advantage of the cheers program so I can sleep at night. It could be worse, I could be at work!

It is on deck 7 but, since it's 3 stories high I hear it can be pretty noisy on deck 7-10. I looked at the floor plans again and we have about 8 cabins between us and the IMAX. I think I am going to relax about the possibility of noise. and concentrate on booking some excursions.
