sail7seas Posted October 5, 2017 #26 Share Posted October 5, 2017 Yes, they are finishing a cruise on November 19 and would like to catch another that begin November 18 with a first stop in Key West. Does the cruise that ends on November 19 have Key West as a port on their itinrary? If so, see if they can get a hotel room, get off the ship and stay n Key West to wait for the cruise that starts November 18 to arrive.

Aquahound Posted October 5, 2017 #28 Share Posted October 5, 2017 The fine is $300 per person and the ship is also fined about $300k. Whoa! $300K?! Where did that rumor start? The way it works is, CBP fines the ship $300 per person because it's technically the ship that commits the violation. The cruise line then has the option to forward the fine on to the passenger....which they usually do. I don't know where this $300k came from.
