SocialOcean app for Medallion Cruises

Just downloaded the SocialOcean app in preparation for our first Medallion cruise on 13th November. Doesn't seem to be fully activated yet (needs Compass) but it says it will help you set up your Tagalong, earn Charms and connect with your friends and family on and off the ship. I am on the Dec 10th on the Regal, and I got the phone call saying my wife and I got selected for Medallion, but we never received an email about the app. It looks like it won't let me register either. I guess soon enough...

Our cruise is the first one on Monday 13th November on Regal - we were not notified about the app either.

Chris is getting a little bit further than I am with registering for an account on SocialOcean but it's producing an error message. It does try and link to your Princess website account if you have one:

So, when you download this app, or any app from Princess/Carnival, you are essentially giving them authorization to track your every movement/keystroke?

No... On iOS and Android you can clearly see what permissions are available and approve disapprove them as you see fit. It is just another app.
