Thanksgiving Freedom Cruise 2017...Lots of Pics

We then walked over to Higgs beach....we decided not to go in the water as we didn't want to get all wet and then have to walk around

There was not many people in the water that day

We came across a cool 3-wheeler...I would not want to drive in Key West at all narrow roads

They even have a beach just for dogs

We continued our walk as we were headed to the Southern Most Point

We were getting close

Finally it was our turn to take our picture

After getting our picture we walked another block to our next stop the Butterfly Conservatory

They had information about all the types of butterflies and the various stages

Then we entered where all the butterflies were and it was amazing

It was amazing in here and totally worth the money

The flowers were beautiful inside as well

I tried to take a few pictures with the girls next to butterflies

We made it out of the butterflies and then on to the gift shop area

We hopped back on the trolley to move a little farther on our trip...we swung by the Southern Most Point for one more photo chance

We got off at the next stop as we were headed to get some treats...this was the dropoff point

We were headed to Blue Heaven

Dessert was the plan here and it looks like the girls approve of the first choice

and here was the second choice

Overall everyone was satisfied with the treat

They had a very cool little outdoor area

Time for our walk back to the trolley stop

Back on the trolley we go as we head past the Hemingway house

Our next stop was at Kermit's Key Lime Pie which is voted the best in Key West....the girls got to take a picture with Kermit himself

Inside they have key lime everything

We settled for some key lime ice cream

On our walk back to the ship we came across this store which we wished we were not so full already

The cookies here looked amazing

Next stop was Kino's sandals where they make everything right in the store. Makenna was at a bad in between size and they did not have much for her. Ainsley got herself a pair very similar to this just a little smaller

We finally got back to the ship and upon our arrival there was a surprise waiting for us

Malcolm via John Heald had sent the girls each a ship on a stick, a medal, and some chocolate covered strawberries.

It was time for a little rest and then shower and get ready for dinner

Love your review and pictures. Now I am so excited for April to get here so that I can check out the freedom. I wish that we were going to key west but hey I am looking forward to Honduras and Belize never been to those two places. Cozumel is a different story lols. Love Cozumel

Key West is nice but not as great as we expected first time we went....we want to go to Honduras and Belize sometime

I believe we ordered some room service however sorry I didn't take any pictures of that. I will tell you though room service is amazing and a few of our favorite things are the peanut butter and jelly...I know seems crazy but DW says these are amazing. I am a fan of the BLT and the tuna. We had our light snack rested some and got showered so we could head to dinner.

Tonight's dinner menu:

The girls started with some soups....beef and barley and aspargus...the beef and barley was ok the asparagus not so much

We also enjoyed our cheese plate with the bread

DW and I had the marinated chicken tenders which are delicious

I also enjoyed the fried shrimp

The escargot I find to be delicious no one else at the table seemed to enjoy

DW also had a house salad
