I don’t think we are going to dress up for elegant night but will we be missing out one some real good food? We will be on the Elation and didn’t know if they would be serving the same type of food in the buffet as in the dining room. Like will my husband be able to have lobster or prime rib without going to main dining? Thanks!

Formal night, a man only has to wear non jean pants, and a collared shirt! :D

Lobster only in the MDR, tell him he can order 2, maybe that'll get him in a pair of pants!;p

"Carnival has no more "Formal Nights" .... they have "Cruise Elegant" which has a very low bar for dressiness.:D :D

From the Carnival FAQ's

Cruise Elegant Dress Code

Not permitted: Jeans, men’s sleeveless shirts, shorts, tee-shirts, sportswear, gym or basketball shorts, baseball hats, flip-flops and bathing suit attire
