Upgrade worth it?

Carnival a couple of weeks ago offered an upgrade to the 7th deck of the legend from the 5th deck for the same type of Balcony and I turned it down. Now they have offered the 8th deck with a 60 sq feet balcony instead of the 40 sf on the 5th deck for 50 dollars more.

I returned the email stating that I would upgrade for free. The Cruise is in August to Alaska and the Seas should be fairly calm. Any suggestions on dealing with Carnival?

What is above and below you? That would help me make my decision. I would go for a larger balcony. Alaska has so much daylight and it is always great to relax on the balcony. I would go for it. Usually upgrades do cost something. $50 is almost nothing.

Feb 3, 2018 Miracle we booked wet from obstructed balcony on deck 3 to deck 7 exteneded for $34.00 we took it!!

Most of our time is spent on deck 9..

Sounds like a good one....they offered me a $28 upsell from deck 8 where I am between cabin floors to deck 11 near the bandstand AND Camp Ocean...with waterworks above us.....UH..NO THANKS!!!! lol

I would not take it.

 

Most of our time was on deck 9 where we could go from port to starboard quickly to see wildlife.

Sometimes upsell aren't worth it. My offer was for a balcony for $340 from an interior. Just couldn't swing it. However if I was offered an upsell for $50 I'd jump all over it.
