Graham187 Posted January 24, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2018 I know that as a single traveller it cost me a little bit more. BUT Went to TUI,to cost a Balcony Cabin in June on Discovery, had already researched the cost for 2 adults and it was 3494, so expected a price around 3000, guess what the quote was 6800, how do they justify that. Guess what i did not book
kerryincork Posted January 24, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2018 Did you contact them ask them about the price. It may have been a mistake. 🤔 I have sailed solo, and unfortunately you are also paying for your invisible friend. Typically it is slightly less than double occupancy, though I have heard some lucky people getting it for 75% of double occupancy. kerryincork Posted January 24, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 24, 2018 It does seem excessive. Who else have you tried. Some cruise lines have single cabins now like NCL for example. Sent from my SM-N910F using Forums mobile app
Graham187 Posted January 24, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted January 24, 2018 Thank you, but i have done 20 plus cruises, and have booked else where. Just felt that tui was being excessive
CruisingAlong4Now Posted January 24, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 24, 2018 You are paying for the total cabin, just as you would in a hotel. Cruise lines quote double occupancy whilst hotels generally quote by room.

Guess what i did not book I just checked TUI Denmark. They have a slightly lower price for a cabin for a solo than the total price for two in the same balcony cabin. Checked RCI, dep Copenhagen for Norwegian Fjords, May 6th.
ggtjr Posted January 24, 2018 #10 Share Posted January 24, 2018 Usually, you have to pay for 2 in the cabin but only one person port fees and taxes Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T337A using Forums mobile app
