Suggested transfers from Fort Lauderdale to Miami

Uber X. Our cost from the Embassy Suites (17th St Ft Lauderdale) to the Port of Miami was $33. Consider this was a private car/driver, the car came when we summoned it using our app (car was at our hotel door in 5 min) and then drove us directly to our pier. There were no stops to pick-up or drop others, no cramming into a van, no delays waiting for luggage (other then ours) to be loaded, etc. Hard to beat.

For us the most important thing is that you do not pre-book Uber. You simply summon a car when you are ready to go....and they pick you up at the spot you request.

Once upon a time we used a well-known transfer service. They showed up (at our hotel) in a very nice van and loaded our stuff. We then sat in the van for nearly 15 min because another couple was late. We then drove about 10 min and stopped at another hotel where we waited about 10 min for more passengers. When we reached the port we stopped to unload passengers/luggage at two piers before finally getting to our pier. A 45 min drive took us nearly 1:30 with the waiting time and other stops. So now, we usually rely on Uber or Lyft.
