Cruisepucks Posted February 4, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2018 We are recently off the Koningsdam. Every day, they served a very pleasant afternoon tea in the Queen's Lounge. Waiters served tea and came around with trays of small sandwiches and sweets. They did not have any 'special' tea service like the Royal Dutch or Indonesian teas, but the QL daily tea was very good. Our upcoming cruise is on the Maasdam, a ship on which we have not yet sailed. Would anyone who has been on the Maasdam recently please post your comments about their afternoon tea service? We have quite a few sea days on our itinerary and the afternoon tea is a welcomed event. Thanks and Cheers Cruisepucks

Tea is served every day at 3pm in main dining room.
Krazy Kruizers Posted February 4, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2018 Did you have the Royal Dutch Tea? The Indonesian Tea? The Cupcake Tea?
Cruisepucks Posted February 5, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted February 5, 2018 Thanks for the information on the Maasdam tea, E. To KK, on the Koningsdam, I don't recall any 'special' tea events. (I may have missed them if they took place.) However, the Queen's Lounge on the Koningsdam is arranged very well for afternoon tea and the staff do a very good job serving and keeping everyone happy. I would recommend it. We've been to teas in the dining room and they're fine, but the lounge seems to be a more comfortable and more appropriate location for a traditional afternoon tea. Check it out if you're on the K'dam. Cheers! CP
Krazy Kruizers Posted February 5, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 5, 2018 We don't do afternoon teas that often. But when we do, we like then in the dining room. On some ships we have had them in the Explorer's Lounge. Very hard for 4 people to share a small table with tea cups and plates of goodies.
