shipper50 Posted February 22, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 22, 2018 I have a question if you don't mind. What kind of play does it take to get noticed? I gave my S&S card when I bought in and was asked if I had won at BJ when coloring up and you would have thought I had the plague when I said I won $36;p. I honestly don’t think carnival has any consistency when it comes to casino offers. There have been cruises where I’ve gambled close to $1,000 of my own money, PLUS close to $1,000 with their money that I won....didn’t get a single offer. But on that same cruise, my cousin didn’t spend/win/gamble anywhere near as much as me, and he received an offer. I think it’s just luck of the draw. winddawn Posted February 22, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 22, 2018 The last time I emailed the player's club, I got an email response within a few days, and the response was helpful and cheerful. I think there is more than the amount you spend in the casino on one cruise that plays into receiving casino offers. In my experience, when I cruise and play 3 or 4 times a year, I receive more casino offers. I never receive a bounce back offer if I already have another cruise booked, but others here have stated they have. My PVP told me I would not receive bounce back offers onboard if I already had another cruise booked, but that I could inquire with the players club when I got home and they could extend an offer if I already had a cruise booked (land-based casino staff can but onboard casino staff cannot). I never ask for comps though. If I think the offers Carnival extends are worthwhile, I book. If I do not think they're very worthwhile, I don't. IMHO Carnival has been focusing more on premier casino offers more recently since the economy has improved. I typically spend around the same amount in the casino each cruise, and the past couple years I've received a bounce back offer onboard for a free inside cabin each cruise, but this year the bounce back offer was for a reduced price. I just don't think casino offers have been as valuable this year due to the improving economy/bookings. It's the old supply/demand rule. I just wait and cruise when Carnival is more hungry for bookings and thus extends better casino offers. I know I can always get free hotel and food comps on land if Carnival isn't hungry for my booking.

funkidd Posted April 24, 2018 #11 Share Posted April 24, 2018 IMO the cruise offers have been weak over the past couple years. I always spend way too much in the casino and don’t get what I used to get. I used to get comped almost yearly. Now I’m lucky if I get 50 dollars in chips or maybe a portion of a cruise off. Which are usually bunk rooms. I agree I think the better economy has made the offers worse. I do know some players that do get comped pretty well but they ride the tables all week all day. I can’t do that my wife would kill me. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

AmBear Posted April 24, 2018 #14 Share Posted April 24, 2018 Maybe the competition has upped their game? Seems the response at RCL over their new casino club, which took away some perks, while making it easier for the lower player to remain in the club, has been about 50/50. Some hate it, some like it. NCL's changes to their casino club a while back, has so far seemed to be a bit more popular then RCL or Carnival. Talking to a couple of Carnival Diamond high rollers a while back, seems NCL is trying to lure some of the other cruise lines players over. Time will tell how it goes. We might be giving NCL a chance if Carnival stays unresponsive!
