Gatordad815 Posted March 6, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 6, 2018 Now that I’ve caught cruise-planning fever (obsession), I’m looking beyond the week-long itineraries into shorter cruises we can do over long weekends. In general, would you experienced cruisers recommend a 3-night Bahamas itinerary (Nassau, Coco Cay) on Enchantment out of Port Canaveral, or a 4-night Western itinerary (Cozumel) out of Tampa on Brilliance? In addition to Ship comparisons in general, I’m interested in people’s general thoughts on January cruising as we will have a 4-day weekend in January that would work quite nice for either cruise. My thought is it will be warmer in Cozumel than the Bahamas, so perhaps that’s a better choice? Also, any thoughts on which ship is better for young kids? All input appreciated. Thank you! Clarea Posted March 6, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 6, 2018 I would prefer the Caribbean (Brilliance) itinerary, and it would likely be warmer in Cozumel than in Nassau. Briilliance also has a kiddie pool area with a slide.
cb at sea Posted March 6, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2018 The Bahamas will have weather similar to Florida....
Rare Keith1010 Posted March 7, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 7, 2018 Bahamas will likely be cool in January. Even the Caribbean can have some mornings when it is cool in January but most days it warms up. I would go Caribbean for the weather.
