Carnival Magic "ship times"

If you have been on Carnival Magic recently, how do they handle ship times? I understand they do not change with the port they are in, is that correct?

 

I am in KC, and we are on DST. I know normally Florida is 1 hour ahead of us whether we are on DST or not. Do you know if Florida stays where they are, or on DST like us?

Florida is daylight savings time and normally ship will stay on originating port time when sailing in Caribbean

Just got off Magic on Sat. We stayed on Eastern time for the entire cruise. It was still dark out when we left the ship in Costa Maya!
