Roatanfans Posted April 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2018 Anyone visit the Ko Samui elephant sanctuary while on a cruise? I really want to go there but I'm having problems figuring out if the times would work for a tender port
Rare Acrusa Posted April 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 10, 2018 We will arrive there Friday the 13th on Oceania Nautica. I know they offered this tour so I would think it is not a problem Sent from my SM-J320V using Forums mobile app

Roatanfans Posted April 10, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted April 10, 2018 Sadly Princess does not offer this tour (wish they would) so I have to arrange it on my own!
Tranquility Base Posted April 10, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 10, 2018 In my experience tendering at Koh Samui is relatively efficient. Medium size local ferry boats are used. These should be tying up to the ship soon after the anchor is down. Loading can take a bit longer if the ferry is full, but if you are early for your ticket you may well be on the 1st or 2nd tender as the shore excursions are sometimes still meeting. If arrival time was 8am, and I was organising a tour I would plan a pick up at 09:30. If you are taking a taxi, walk to the end of the pier and by the first road there will be a carpark on your right with taxis. Approx 1 way fare to Bophut about 400 Baht.
