mickrory Posted April 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2018 Cruising with Celebrity, first timer at Fort Lauderdale. If we have an Alamo hire car(4 passengers) and we have to drop it off at Eller/McIntosh is it easier to drop the other 3 at the ship with the bags and take the car back myself? Thinking of an easier shuttle journey back to the ship on my own with no bags just wondered if it was feasible?
CruiserBruce Posted April 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 10, 2018 Come on over to the Florida Departures board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=495 where this topic is discussed almost daily. Traffic could be hectic that day, if it is Saturday or Sunday, and the port is huge, so not dropping off people and bags is perhaps the better option. The key thing to confirm is the presence of a shuttle. Most of the rental places around the port have shuttles, but Alamo has been questionable. Krazy Kruizers Posted April 10, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 10, 2018 Yes you can do that. Much easier to drop off 3 people and luggage and then drop off the car and go back to the terminal on your own. The others can give the luggage to the porters and wait for you outside the terminal so that you all can check in at the same time.
