Our wonderful guide Moya,

She made arrangements for anyone in the group who wanted to be transferred to Donegal for a visit for only 10 euros round trip.

Farewell to lovely Killybegs.

Home of a lot of bog (as in peat moss). Moya said that the bogs were living museums as they reserve things forever. Things (and people) are still being found to this day.

Killybegs appreciates it's cruise passengers.

They might not have a lot of infrastructure but the local artisans put on a craft show. I got a beautiful handmade tweed purse there.

Happy Birthday Kazu!

When Irish eyes are smiling

Sure, 'tis like the morn in Spring

In the lilt of Irish laughter

You can hear the angels sing

When Irish hearts are happy

All the world seems bright and gay

And when Irish eyes are smiling

Sure, they steal your heart away

Aww, thank you Gail. We're in Belgium today. ;)

It was supposed to rain but so far, the sun has come out. :D

DH had the salmon. We've never seen it offered on the menu before on our HAL cruises and it tasted as wonderful as it looked.

Food porn time ;)

Our next port was Galway, Ireland.

another tender port. 'Sigh'. I will post later about the tenders for 4 and 5* mariners but let's just say for now that I was already growing tired of the inconsistencies.

Here is the when and where for Galway.

Gigianne had arranged a private tour for this port and off we went (once we got on the tender - so glad I am 5* <roll eyes>)

Our first stop was this fantastic friary

Cancel that pic idea. Looks like tapatalk won't load.

DAM - free wifi, tolerant DH and tapatalk won't load.

I'll try a bit later. Sorry.
