We are cruising in Sept on the Oasis. What is best option for a hotel the night before and best transportation to the cruise port? Is Uber an option? Are they allowed on the pier? We usually cruise from Fort Lauderdale so this is a new port for us. Thank you

Have you looked around the board? Many, many discussions..."Best" is a tremendously vague and subjective term. What is "best" for you may not work for me at all. How many people? When does your flight get in? What is your budget? Do you want to do anything around Orlando, where there is tons of things to do. All important criteria to what might be "best" for you.

Uber is fine.

When is your flight? Many discussions about staying around Orlando, where there is a HUGE selection of hotels, or near the port. Choice is yours.

There is also many discussions about shuttles, one way car rentals, etc...

There has been quite a few people suggesting go port Canaveral. They have hotels and transfer to pick from or just google hotels near port of cape Canaveral and transfers . You can either get shared shuttle ( Cortrans ) or private shuttle Ace. Good luck

Best is a stretch limo with a stocked bar! Or did you mean most economical?

We prefer to stay in Orlando and head to PC the morning of our cruise - 1000's of hotels to choose from. We usually rent a car one way (MCO to PC) pre-cruise, letting us stay where we want and to dine where we want. Post cruise, unless your flight is after about 2:00 I would skip the car rental and use one of the shuttles.

We just booked a fly, Snooze cruise package that will take us to cocoa beach and bring us back to the airport after the cruise. I wanted to be on the beach the day before and we arrive in MCO by 9 am. Thanks for all the suggestions.

We stayed at the La Quinta Inn & Suites Oceanfront in Cocoa Beach. It was good. Direct access to the beach and pier. Hotel pool and balconies facing the waterfront. Rooms have been updated recently. Hot breakfast buffet in the morning. Super nice and accommodating staff. Lots of walkable dinner places nearby. Uber/Lyft to the port was super easy in the morning.
