Patti made her way down to the cabin to begin unpacking and wait for the muster drill. I joined her a short time later. The alarm for the muster drill sounded right around 3:30. Our muster station was “H” which was outside on Deck 4 aft on the port side.

A crew member must have seen me limping a little coming down the steps, so she directed Patti and I into Alfred’s where we could sit for the drill. We really appreciated that.

The drill lasted to a little after 4pm. We were the first to be dismissed, so we decided to go back to our cabin to watch our sail away from our balcony. By the time we got back, the ship had already pulled away from the pier…..

Jeff and Patti - can not thank you enough for all of your reviews. Every time I get ready to cruise somewhere, or am going to a new port I search for your reviews to see if you have been there! Our last cruise we drove down from NY for a last-minute GREAT deal on the Pride. Would love that last-minute deal again :cool:

This 2nd part has brought tears to my eyes. I was born and raised in North Miami Florida, and I LOVED going to Jai Alai!!! I moved to Upstate NY when I met my husband and at times miss South Florida terribly. So Thank You, for bringing such great memories back.

Subscribing......

Hey Mary. I went to North Miami Sr. High . I also have fond memories of Jai Alai. Live in Ohio now but so many good times growing up in SFL.

Now that we were out to sea, I was perfectly happy to hang out in the cabin until dinnertime. Patti however, wanted to check out the shops so off she went. With camera in hand she descended one deck down to the Promenade on Deck 5.

Seeing these photos now, it was amazing how deserted the Promenade looked at this time. I guess everyone was still partying out on the open decks!

Patti started all the way aft. This is the Degas Lounge where the Punchliner Comedy Club was held…..
