PORT ROYAL Posted June 1, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 1, 2018 Can anyone speak to any snorkeling opportunities here? Not the greatest of beach destinations. No opportunities to snorkel. No kit rentals. Close to Condos, Sunbeds grabbed by Condos before T'erds arrive. Is a Ship's tours beach break destination with provisor on beds on a first come basis (tough). Bar food is okay. satbeachbill Posted June 1, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 1, 2018 Beach itself is nice. Nothing much to see snorkeling there. Ample beach chairs, maybe not beds. Buccaneer Beach Bar is right there. Great drinks. You'd enjoy your day there. There's plenty other beaches to pick from also.

satbeachbill Posted June 9, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 9, 2018 Mullet Bay was nice. Nice beach, (at the time- calm water), chaises available if you want. Walk on down and get away from everyone if you like. Rosie's is there to cook lunch. Gorgeous views, can see the planes land - from a distance. We went to Le Gallion. No facilities - since the hurricane, No people either. We went on a weekday, so it was quiet. The locals frequent it on the weekends. We were the only two people there for hours. Best to have a rental car for this place. But if you like solitude.... Pinel Island is our favorite. Best to have a rental car here too. Catch a little tender to the island (runs back and forth all day.) spend the day, 2 great places for lunch. calm, clear water, a view to die for. Chaise lounges and umbrellas available. Snorkeling is better here. Bring your own gear.
