diane.in.ny Posted May 23, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 23, 2018 Easy. The OUTside or the TOPside. Ditto!!! In Antarctica, the beauty is all around you. You'll want to be out on deck as much as possible. And be sure to pack warm clothes. Layer. If you've got them, take long underwear.
Rare azbirdmom Posted May 23, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 23, 2018 Suggest that you book the land side which in the case of this cruise would be the port side. That is where we stayed when we cruised from Santiago to Rio years ago and we were on the correct side for the transit around Cape Horn and through glacier alley. That is also what we've booked for the Antarctica cruise as well. We will be spending a lot of time in the Antarctic area and hope that the captain will move the ship so both sides can view the scenery similar to what they do in Glacier Bay. If they don't, we will simply move to one of the aft, Promenade, or Lido decks.
