nicoleinwi Posted June 16, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 16, 2018 Our plan one day is to take the ferry to St George and hit up Tobacco Bay. After that we want to go to Warwick Bay and walk to Horseshoe. Looks like a site I found online shows $44 taxi fare. I realize in googling most say to take the bus to Hamilton then taxi it over. But from what I can tell online it's less than an hour drive from Tobacco to Warwick and the bus just to Hamilton is almost an hour in itself. My main concern is saving time. Will taxis just be waiting outside of Tobacco Bay? Anything special I need to look for, like a registered taxi logo? I've heard of an app much like Uber, but I don't want to use data unless I really have to. Thanks!
SailBadtheSinner Posted June 16, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 16, 2018 I calculate the taxi fare to be a little higher but not significant. The fare would be for Mon to Sat travel for 1 to 4 paxs, and don't forget the tip. Most taxis are privately owned so just look for the word TAXI on the roof: image courtesy of Google You may luck out finding a taxi waiting at Tobacco Bay. If not, you'll have to walk to King's Square where you will find some waiting. I'm sure someone will post with the app that can be used. Charles4515 Posted June 16, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 16, 2018 Usually there are taxis available at Tobacco Bay either waiting or arriving and dropping off that you can catch. The app for calling for a taxi is called Hitch. You could also ask the concession there to call for a taxi.
