The Sea Princess is on a world cruise, doesn't leave until Wednesday.
Pam in CA Posted August 14, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 14, 2018 Wondering whether there was a medical emergency or weather-related reason for arriving early. Every hour at the dock costs $00,000’s so a ship doesn’t usually arrive that early unless it’s a necessity.

sewgood Posted August 14, 2018 #10 Share Posted August 14, 2018 Bob are you going down to view the Sea Princess in person? It only goes to NY once a year now.
chengkp75 Posted August 14, 2018 #11 Share Posted August 14, 2018 It could be simply a tide/current issue. At certain combinations of state of tide and current, the turn into the slipway at the Manhattan terminal is very difficult. Their choices could have been get in 6 hours early, or 4-6 hours late. Sounds like they were scheduled right at the wrong time for the tides.
