Clarea Posted August 21, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 21, 2018 is there a formal night on the short 4 night pacific coastal cruise on Explorer of the Seas? Thanks Usually night 2, though since this is an itinerary that is not done more than once a year, we have no recent info.
Ken at the beach Posted August 21, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 21, 2018 I believe it's 7 days or longer. Pretty much all Royal ships with the exception of Empress and I believe now Mariner have formal nights regardless of the number of nights. It’s usually on night 2 for the shorter cruises. kapeavey Posted August 21, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 21, 2018 According to RCCL website there’s one formal and three casual nights on 4 night cruises. Enjoy! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Italy2019ago Posted September 20, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 20, 2018 I'm the newbie on this ship :-) Never been on a RC ship and new to this formal thing. On the formal nights is it really required dress code? Will they like not let me into the cafeteria if I'm not dressed in a suit jacket? The only time I wear a suit jacket is at weddings. :):)

The formal dress is for the formal dining room, not the cafeteria. One can always dress casual at the cafeteria.
JAMESCC Posted September 20, 2018 #10 Share Posted September 20, 2018 It really doesn't matter because there are no real formal nights anymore. God bless if you want to participate but don't feel obligated to either.
