Has anyone used Cruise Express in Bruges?

We will be in Zeebrugge in September and looking to get to Bruges. I've researched how to get to the train, but this also looks convenient. Any experiences with Cruise Express?

(our cruise has a ridiculously priced shuttle and i am looking to do it on our own)

Thanks in advance

When we were there last summer, they had coach buses right outside the ship to take us to Bruges. I believe it was like 20 Euros/person for the R/T ticket. Super easy! Dropped us off right at the train station, then it was like a 15 minute walk into the city. Bruges is totally a city you can do on your own as well. We saw a ton of things and still got back to the ship for dinner. We were just exhausted, that's why we went back. Loved Bruges, truly became one of my favorite cities!

We booked online for Cruise Express but lots of people just turned up on the day and paid at the desk by the bus. We were dropped off in exactly the same place as the ship's tours and from there it was a short walk into town. We stopped on the way and took a canal boat tour and we thought that was a good way to orientate ourselves. The bus runs as a minimum every 30 minutes. I'd definitely recommend it

This summer we used a taxi to Bruges (Martin Taxi) and it didn't go well. They raised the price from what they quoted and when I had asked about a return time to the ship for 1:00 they said just tell the driver who picked us at the port what the exact time we wanted to be picked up so I thought no problem, But when I told the driver when she dropped us off at Bruges she said she couldn't do it because she already had somebody else that wanted that time. And the only time she had available wasn't until later which was to close for comfort for us to make it back to the ship. So I had to pay extra to get her to pick us up an hour earlier than I wanted. So even though I didn't use the bus I would definitely use the bus if we would ever go again.

I wonder if that is who we used then. They were just lined up when we got off the ship, selling the R/T tickets on the spot. It was the easiest way because we weren't tied to a specific time.

Yes it probably was. You could just leave and come back to the ship when you wanted, so suited us ideally
