erros Posted September 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2018 Does anyone have any information on the deck 13 forward cabins? We will be on her for the 11 day Alaska cruise May 13, 2019. We are in cabin 13542. Wondering about noise from above.
schmeed Posted September 13, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 13, 2018 Solarium Bistro appears to be above you, so possible noise from chairs moving on the tile floor.

Chiliburn Posted September 15, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 15, 2018 Deck 13 forward are the best cabins unless you are in a suite,in my opinion. I’ve been on the ovation 4 times each time we had a standard balcony cabin.after research and experience I come to that conclusion. Forward elevators don’t seem to be as busy. You have the solarium one flight of stairs up,no bothering with the elevator. Solarium to me is one of the best food venues on the ship because it’s part of the specialty restaurants and is mostly free. It doesn’t get as busy as windjammers and in the evening it’s a sit down restaurant with a chef who will cook a lobster ($20) One flight of stairs you have the solarium, pool, bar. down The elevators you have music hall, main theatre, schooner bar,English pub, cafe promenade,Sorrentos. On the new generation of quantum class those cabins are gold card.
springaussie Posted September 15, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 15, 2018 I was on Ovation deck 13 in a balcony about 5 from the front. Loved it. No problems at all.

Chiliburn Posted September 25, 2018 #10 Share Posted September 25, 2018 Is the forward view from the balcony obstructed by the bridge wing that extends out over the side of the ship? Around the elevators no . On deck 13 you can walk out on top of the wings. Mid ship and behind the elevators cabins are not classed as obstructed. But they are ,there’s a overhang from deck 14 and large struts that interferes with the view
