What areas in Miami to bid on for hotel?

I am trying to bid on a 3 or 4 star hotel for the night before our cruise. Which areas other than downtown Miami are going to be close enough to the port?

I am trying to bid on a 3 or 4 star hotel for the night before our cruise. Which areas other than downtown Miami are going to be close enough to the port?

 

The Priceline map is deceptive. You can bid Miami downtown, South Beach, Miami Beach, Key Biscayne, Miami Airport, Coral Gables-Coconut Grove.

As you can see, downtown and South Beach are the closest but the other areas are within 30 minutes of the port. The remaining areas on the Priceline map but not mentioned above are within 60 minutes of the port. They are all closer to Port of Miami then Ft Lauderdale.

With the outlying areas the money you save on Priceline may be wiped out in transportation costs. Consider a car rental for the areas outside of downtown, South Beach. Hope this helps. ;)
