I'm currently at Platinum level. Looking at the benefits of the next level. 

1 Dinner With Officers³

2  Priority Restaurant & Entertainment Seating^*
Has anyone used the priority seating benefit at the specialty restaurants??

I like to make same day reservations. It would be a great benefit on nights when their all booked up!

The priority restaurant seating is basically a phantom perk. Other than a occasional suspicion that we may have been given nicer tables I have seen nothing. Others on here have reported specifically asking about it and being told that nobody knows what it is.

 

It won't get you into a restaurant that is booked up.

 

The entertainment seating is a row that is allocated to Platinum Plus and Ambassador guests (on some ships).

IIRC, another perk is you don't have to reserve any of the comedy shows (Headliner's on the Breakaway)....you just line up with the 'reserved' line, and not the 'standby' line.....

We love the "Dinner with Officers".  A meal in the normal MDR not a Specialty but free wine and real service sometime the chef does a special for that table only!!  We have done a few and haven't had a "dud" officer yet.  "Dud" normal guests though at times!!!

We got the photo shop manager,,,, who was a dud.

 

We tried the "priority restaurant" trick when the wait time for The Local (O'Sheehan's) was 45 minutes. With our priority status, we were told that the wait would be 45 minutes,,,, we went to the buffet instead.

I wouldn't have been happy with him/her as I don't believe he/she is an officer.  Is he/she even an NCL employee?

I lucked out my one time having dinner with the officer's, and got the senior physician....great host, and interesting conversation, especially when we could get him to tell us some 'shop talk'...
