Credit Card hold on princess

I also have not seen it from a cruise line, but that does not mean it is not there. Basically, I do not use internet minutes to look at my credit card's website while I am in board.

 

But, I have seen holds from self serve gas stations and from renting a car even though my insurance company was paying for the car rental.

This has been policy for decades. About 14 years ago, we observed a woman on her balcony below us on her cell phone. She evidently was living on off her credit card for everything. The hold had maxed out her card and she had no money at any port.
