cruiser man 60 Posted December 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2018 Hi looking to book a further cruise on MSC Bellisima and wanted to ask if it's worth booking the Aurea experience with new easy drinks package? It costs c £20pp per day extra and including easy drinks package includes the spa and sun deck access. anyone used the spa on Meragavlia the sister ship who can say what it's like? Até Posted December 18, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2018 What makes it worse is the current promotion offering the Premium drink package to Fantastica, while Aurea retains the much less desirable Easy package. I'm sure Bellissima's spa is going to be nice, the private sun deck will be okay - using the Cruise Critic review pictures of Meraviglia should be a fairly accurate comparison. I have Aurea booked on Meraviglia getting the Classic drink package, but would have difficulty justifying the current price difference with it now getting the Easy package. While it's possible to see what a massage, a thermal pass and access to the private sun deck costs, only you can place a value on the My Choice dining and priority check in. For most sailings I see Aurea is around £60pp/d over Bella and £40pp/d above Fantastica. Your £20pp/d is above what as comparison?
cruiser man 60 Posted December 18, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted December 18, 2018 It's the cost over fantastica for a 28 night cruise so with soft drinks, coffee, some wine at dinner the cost of drinks would soon mount with 15% service charge added. Até Posted December 18, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 18, 2018 I assume you are looking at the March 23, 2020 sailing from Abu Dhabi so your sailing is not one that is under the Fantastica gets Premium drinks package. So to me Aurea balcony with Easy package for £20pp/d (I see it as only £15pp/d) more than Fantastica balcony, which gets basically nothing, is definitely worth it. The earlier Grand Voyages have Fantastica getting the Mealtime drinks package, so I would expect that to eventually happen on this sailing also if that plays into any account. The thermal spa area on Meraviglia is absolutely fantastic.
