CruiseNovice2013 Posted January 3, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2019 How formal is formal night on Majesty of the Seas? Will my husband (a casual kind of guy) get kicked out of the dining room if he doesn't wear a jacket and tie? We're hoping a button-down shirt or a polo shirt will suffice. LB_NJ Posted January 4, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 4, 2019 You are asking this in the wrong forum. Suggest you ask this in the Royal Caribbean forum. Never been on Majesty however, I think the ONLY cruise ship line that sometimes even tries to enforce the formal dress code is Cunard (eg, Queen Mary 2).
soccer2010 Posted January 4, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2019 On Royal, your husband will be fine ... on Carnival, he will be overdressed
tybeelucy2 Posted January 7, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 7, 2019 He'll be fine. We were just on Empress, and jeans and a nice top will be fine.
llanning Posted March 9, 2019 #5 Share Posted March 9, 2019 We were on the Empress and were told (by our waiter) that Cuban cruises did not have a formal night.
Houndfish Posted March 14, 2019 #6 Share Posted March 14, 2019 We were on a Cuba trip on Majesty in November. Had a formal night and I wore long pants and a short sleeved button shirt. No problem. On longer cruises I take a blazer for formal night, no tie, and am overdressed. This applies to Princess, RCI and Carnival.
