woodley Posted January 13, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2019 When gambling in the casino are drinks free? Is priority given to people who have booked excursions through the ship for disembarking at the ports? Bingo... is it on paper or do P&O use the machines that are on some ships (which I do not like) and how are the prizes in relation to the amount of people playing. I used to enjoy playing on the ships but the prizes are not reflective of the amount of people playing and the cost of the tickets. Thanks

NO Is priority given to people who have booked excursions through the ship for disembarking at the ports? If tender then usually yes, if you meet in the show lounge prior to the trip everyone usually goes down together and gets priority, however this has not always been the case on all P&O ships we have cruised on. john watson Posted January 13, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 13, 2019 The drinks in the casino are chargeable but the drinks waiters come round regularly. If you are at a table you do not need to leave the game to order and receive your drinks. I have only played Blackjack and Roulette on P&O and find that the dealers are helpful and friendly. They have a standard Blackjack and a "Fun" Blackjack table where you can put a side bet on your first two cards with various permutations of payout, the best being two queen of hearts at 5000 to 1 if you stake £1 to £5 on the appropriate place. This does not in itself affect the Blackjack game but it should be noted on this table all the Kings have been removed reducing the chances of a 10 occurring. ozzysdad Posted January 13, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2019 (edited) Bingo is the paper 6 strip variety, if I remember correctly it was £10 for 3 strips and £15 for the whole book. I stand corrected if wrong though. Edited January 13, 2019 by ozzysdad

I stand corrected if wrong though. Bingo is always in six strips, because "Top of the Shop" is 90. Divide this by 6 and you have fifteen numbers on each card. That's three lines of five numbers on each card. If you play six cards of a proper set at once, you have every number. It is easier to not miss a number with six cards as you always have to dab once and never twice on every number called. I have no idea of prices.
