Launderettes on Princess Ships

Washers and dryers require tokens.  Tokens are available in the laundry rooms from a wall-mounted dispenser that requires that you swipe your card key (or medallion, if appropriate).

There is also a device that dispenses detergent when swiped with the card key/medallion,  Many people pack detergent pods in their baggage to avoid having to buy the detergent.

The charges for the dispensed tokens/detergent will, of course, be reflected on your shipboard account folio.

Yes, $3 wash, $3 dry and $1.50 for detergent. The machines are big enough to hold a decent amount of laundry ie several days of underwear and tshirts for two people. I'm not sure what type they are on Sapphire but on Diamond they were top loaders.

NB: also that they are sometimes locked in Alaskan waters - if memory serves at least on Glacier Bay days, possibly others too. Not that anyone should be doing laundry in Glacier Bay to begin with, too much stuff to see outside to be indoors working!!!
