Best Haven Aft Balcony (H6) on Escape

Hello all- looking for some advice. I did some searching around and it seems that the Haven Aft-Facing suites on the Escape are a little bit different depending upon the particular cabin#. I did find  something that deck 11 and deck 14 cabins have the windows in the master bathroom. Is that correct?

Looking for the best cabin within the category! Any assistance would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

On Escape, decks 11 and 14 have the larger master bathroom with the window overlooking the balcony (Configuration B). The other decks have the bedroom (that is larger than the bedroom in 11 and 14) with a 2nd access door to the balcony (Configuration A). Whatever is closer to the balcony is larger for bedroom vs master bathroom.

If you prefer Configuration B, take deck 11.

If you prefer Configuration A, take either deck 9 or 12 (largest and 2nd largest H6 balcony).

Whichever deck you choose, the configuration is the same except for being a mirror image between port and starboard.

Thank you so much for all of this info!!!! It's much appreciated. Is there a chart or reference guide that you used for this?

Most people (myself included) gathered info on the ship while it was still being built. I booked the H6 long before that section of the ship was constructed and followed along hoping that I picked the correct configuration and a good balcony size (Escape differs from Breakaway/Getaway in size and configuration). Other info comes from pictures that I've taken and lists that I've made for the aft-facing B1 and M1 staterooms as far as bed position, balcony depth and width, etc as well as info reported by other CC members.

There is a great spreadsheet that was made by another CC member for BA/GA but that info doesn't directly carryover to Escape/Joy/Bliss/Encore.

Got it!

Was there a spreadsheet made on the Escape/Joy/Bliss/Encore?

So- to confirm- biggest balcony and windows in master bath- take deck 11.

otherwise- take deck 9 for biggest balcony?

Out of all the options- deck 9 is best for biggest balcony and deck 11 has second biggest balcony but has the windows  in the bathroom? Am I following correctly?

Sadly, no.

BTW, NCL will be changing the alphanumeric designations for many of their categories in 2020. Much of the info will need to be re-done because what is a H6 now won't be called a H6 then, for ex.

For Configuration B (11 or 14), the balcony size is nearly identical but 14 is a tiny bit larger. The reason that I suggested 11 was because the noise/bass from Spice H2O at night can be a problem the higher the deck.

Deck 9 has the deepest balcony (width is pretty much the same for all decks) but I prefer 12 for the better view. Not too high, not too low.

Not exactly. The size order is  9,12,15,14,11,10,13.

It depends on what configuration you prefer.

I prefer A so my first 2 choices are 12 then 9. Someone who prefers B might be happier with 11 vs 14.

I've stayed in a regular aft balcony on BA before on deck 14 and SpiceH2O didn't seem to bother me too much. Similar layout.

I would want the biggest balcony H6 I could get. It would be very nice to have the windows in the bathroom.

So- it sounds like to me I should do the deck 14 suite?  or if not the windows in the bathroom probably deck 12 or 15? The deck 9 seems like a very long way up from Haven proper on deck 17. Don't mind the walk though. Deck 15 might be noisy from Garden Cafe directly above.

Am I reading this correctly?

This is not a cheap cabin and want to be sure I select the best option. I have some good picks left  to select from as this is almost a year out.

For you, it seems like 14 or 12 is best.

To get to the Haven, it's best to walk forward to the front elevators then go up.

You'll enjoy it and it seems like you know what you want as far as balcony size and stateroom configuration. BOOK IT!

Thanks again for all of your help!!!

I like configuration B- the windows in the bathroom- so deck 14 is the way to go! Bigger balcony and the windows in the bathroom. Booked 14300!

Thanks again!

Hope you enjoyed your cruise.   We in in 14900 in 2021 but are thinking that maybe we should switch get to configuration A.

The concern is bathroom privacy.   Were there curtains to screens to be bought down so that when the ship is in port we are not showing off our birthday suits?  Do we need to make the kid come in from the balcony when we want to shower?

We have been Aft on the Epic that has the shower room with a clear glass door across from the toilet room and sink, we learned to deal with the lack of privacy but then the kid was an toddler then.

Still wondering how much bathroom privacy is afforded in configuration B.   Can one be on the balcony and not see folks showering or bathing if they look through the window with the screens pulled down?
