Flying out of Sydney after cruise

It may have been the time of the year.  We were trying to get back to the US just before Thanksgiving.  Seemed like most of the passengers were from the US or Asia.

Maybe...but...we were getting back days before XMAS...also many U.S.-bound passengers...and still not much of an issue.

We'll be in Sydney for several days before leaving on the circumnavigation but am sure we'll find something to do!  If this were in the states with lots of flights leaving I would chance it but not in this case.

In Valparaiso took quite a while to check  in (and they had trouble finding our reservation! ), plus huge lines for immigration and then security.  We had plenty if time so it was ok.  In Israel in October when flying home we had to run to catch our flight...problems with my temporary passport (another story) and they had trouble trying to check our luggage through to Nashville (they couldn't get it done).   We'll spend the night in Sydney and not worry.
