Drinks Package

For an upcoming crossing on QM2 part of the offering I have in a Princess Grill suite is the following drinks package-

" valued up to $12 per person/per drink per day with unlimited drinks "
Can anyone please shed some light on what that exactly means?

I think I understand the first part if limited to one drink per day, but does the 'unlimited drinks' mean that all drinks are inclusive to the package for drinks under $12.?
Thank you.

That is rather odd wording. Did that statement come from Cunard?

If you are booking under the terms of the typical "Grill Suite Offer" promotion from Cunard that offers free drinks for grill suite guests, then here are those terms as stated on the Cunard US website. You would not be limited to one drink per day under these terms for the free drinks promotion. Hope this helps.

♦ Free Drinks Package offer is applicable only to guests reserving a Princess Grill Suite or Queens Grill Suite on voyages 7 nights or longer listed under this promotion. The Free Drinks offer applies to all drinks $12 and under purchased on board during the cruise. Drinks under this promotion can be purchased and consumed free of charge by the participant only, and may not be purchased for people who are not booked on the promotion. Offer is not applicable to guests under 21 years of age. Drinks priced above the threshold shown above must be purchased at full price. Paying the difference between the threshold and the higher price is not permitted. The standard 15% service charge applied against all bar orders will be included under this promotion for all drinks ordered under the price threshold. Tipping beyond the 15% is at the discretion of the guests. For drinks purchased over the price threshold, the 15% service charge will apply as standard. Drinks ordered on this promotion will be signed for in the normal way with the cost of the drinks appearing on the sales receipt. The cost is credited back to the guest folio on a nightly basis. This promotion does not apply to drinks ordered as room service or in-room mini-bar (except Queens Grill), bottles of wine or drinks packages. Cunard operates a Responsible Service of Alcohol Policy. Offer is not available for third/fourth-berth guests, is not transferable and may not be combinable with other offers. No cash value. Promotion code ZED.

bluemarble, this is indeed helpful.  Thank you.  I will also confirm when on board to be certain.  The wording is very odd and is the official Cunard statement per my promotion booking.

I will presume that the 15% service charge is covered in addition to the $12 drink price limit within the package.  And I will tip more when warranted.

Thank you for the clarity.

We are recently off the Queen Victoria with this drinks package promotion and have also sailed on the QM2 with the same promotion.  Any drink (soft, coffee, booze, wine) with a price of $12 or less is included, and don't worry about any service charge.  Hopefully you will have a wine server/sommelier in the Grill who will work with you on your package to bring you wine, etc. within this dollar limit.  We did, she was terrific, and the best feature of our cruise.  She matched up drinks to our menu choices throughout the meal and we had great fun.  She did as well.  Just let your wine server know that you are on the $12 drinks package and hopefully she/he will help you make the best of it.  Same thing in the bars.  On the first night we made the mistake of ordering a top shelf bourbon and had to pay for it because it was over $12.  We discussed this with our server and he actually wrote down several bourbon alternatives for us that were under $12, and from that point forward, we were good to go.  It's all a little awkward and clunky, when you compare it to all-inclusive cruising on lines like Seabourn, Azamara, and Crystal, but you can make it work.  Bottoms up!
