Anytime Dining Question

We love ATD!  We always went about 5:45.  The first night we had a wonderful waitress, Kaya.  She treated us as if she knew us forever.  The next night as soon as we walked in to the MDR she called us over and took care of us.  We missed dinner one night and saw her on the Lido for breakfast.  She recognized us immediately and called us by name.  She also scolded us for not being at dinner the night before.  Very enjoyable experience with her in the MDR.

Although, it's my fourth Carnival cruise, I have never had anytime dining.  Our docs says 5:45-9:30.  Can someone tell me how this works?  For grins sake, we would like to eat at 6:00pm. for example.  Do we just show up at 6:00? I would really prefer a set dining time each day, we love the MDR, but it wasn't available.

Thanks!

Anytime dining is the way to go, cause it gives you the flexibility to eat earlier when hungry, or later when not!
