Hi we are doing D2 transatlantic April 23 wondered if we would be allowed to take our water bottles in carry on if they were empty? Could pack them in hold but thought may be useful to keep hydrated during 10 hour flight!!!!

I don't see why not, do the restrictions apply to liquids but not the receptacles that contain them?

You might have to demonstrate they are empty at security and explain how you are going to fill them with water. Maybe buy a large bottle airside and fill?

You do have a free water fountain on the Dream liner.

Most airports have free water fountains after security.  It's ok to take empty bottles through security
