Halfmoon Cay Cabanas

For anyone who has rented a cabana before, I are they very strict about only 4 people using it throughout the day?  We have 4 adults and 3 children.  The children will probably rarely use it and they are also 7-10 yrs old.  Seems a little steep to charge $49 per person over the 4 person limit.  We are not trying to take advantage of the situation just curious about the process.

we had 6 of us signed up for our cabana our last cruise there was never a 'head count" done while we were in the cabanas, and we had people stopping by to visit and at times had up to 10-12 people hanging around the cabana.

I believe the extra cost is to cover; extra drinks, extra snacks, extra snorkel gear and extra floats.

When you go to Shore Excursion desk upon embarkation, to choose your cabana number, just choose for 4 (flippers, floats, soft drink choice, etc.).   There will be MORE than enough food for everyone.  We usually have at least 7 people (including the kids) when we book one.

I have never seen Carnival do a head count but they are only going to stock it for so many. So if you to have more sodas or snacks you would need to let them know and pay the extra costs. If you aren't worried about that, you can get away with only paying for four.

We all know that the rules and regulations for things apply to everyone but ourselves. We can always find excuses for not following the rules for things that we do not want to follow the rules for.

Every time we've booked one, we've booked for 4.  Even with 7 people coming and going, we have given the leftover sodas, waters, and chips, etc. to the lifeguards nearby.  There's always enough for many people.  We don't request extra fins, mats, snorkels, or any other amenities. We use what they leave for 4 people...and have lots left!  At $359.00 per cabana, no one is losing money.

Does anyone have a map of the Cabana and Villa's. We have one of each booked for our cruise in July and I want to pick mine out to have ready when we board?
