Rare CTSandy Posted July 15, 2019 #26 Share Posted July 15, 2019 I've been alternating between Celebrity and RC; RC is more generous (and easier to understand what you qualify for) than Celebrity, but I really like Celebrity so much that I bite the bullet at least once a year and cruise with a discount (because of casino play) with them. I was fortunate enough to get a comped cruise the first I sailed on RC and since then I've always earned enough points in the casino to get a letter just before the end of the cruise telling me what I qualify for. I do get a "free" cruise on NCL once a year because of my status at a land casino, but I haven't used it in a couple of years because I prefer RC (no admin charges - just port fees and taxes). I've stuck with the guy that connected me with that first RC cruise - as teeredi2cruiseabove noted, travel agent and junket operator and works hard to set me up with what I want.

I am platinum and my friend is gold, we only go about 2 time a year, but would love to get a cruise certificate if we can. Any advice on how to get that? I would sake sure that you check your online offers for the properties that you frequent. They may not always mail you something. The certificates are a good introduction way to sail on different cruise lines depending on the casino’s partnersship with cruiselines. I believe RCCL is MGM properties and Caesar’s is NCL. But there are other ads to get there without vouchers. I hope this helps and Good Luck! Edited July 15, 2019 by teeredi2cruise

I’ve been cruising on NCL through CAS for about 15 years, but lately I’ve been wanting to try RCI, but I don’t want to pay full price. Spoiled, I guess. Am I reading this right? Your travel agent is able to book a cruise on RCI using a person’s play on NCL? If true, then I suppose other TAs can do the same. Luvcruizing this was me too. Long time 7Star with Harrahs and NCL cruiser. I was told about the website UrComped on one of these boards and tried it out. I am taking my second RCI cruise on Sunday YAY! Comped Jr Suite. Costs to get onboard are a lot less ($245 total for a 7 day Western Carib in a Jr Suite) NCL kept upping the price to get on board even with what was suppose to be a full comp. Anyway PM me if you want more info Trish
luvcruzing Posted July 23, 2019 #29 Share Posted July 23, 2019 Thanks, Trish. I joined URComped, but haven’t booked a cruise with them yet. At first some of the cruises were only four or five days, and that’s not worth it to me since I have to fly to a cruise port, and then the dates didn’t work. I recently received an offer with better dates and 7-day cruises, but now I already have two other cruises booked, so maybe next year.
