New Orleans Pre Cruise where to stay close to port.

Thank you Saint Greg for responding 🙂 I'm the original posters wife.  We have been looking at those places as well. Some of our group want to venture out and explore once we are there, so which hotel would you recommend?  Thanks!

You can do it from any of them. Riverside would be the best because there’s a streetcar stop right out in front. It’s also a few blocks shorter of a walk to the French quarter if you wish to go on foot. They have a good restaurant right there in the hotel. A Starbucks right in the hotel. If you’re a gambler, harrahs is across the street. The hotel is connected to the river walk mall which has a cafe du monde in it.
