Rare Shippy Posted September 2, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2019 After reading some of these threads it looks like you need to reserve seats for some or all of the shows. We were on the Seaside last year and did not have to do this. We will be sailing on her again next month. Will I have to reserve the shows ? We will be staying in the Yacht Club if that makes any difference. Thank you
scpirate Posted September 2, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 2, 2019 Yes that made a difference.everyone is supposed to reserve their seats but yacht club gets exempted apparently.we were on last year and we're second in line at the theater.the people on front didn't reserve because they were yacht club.their Butler came and escorted them in.i guess one of the perks for paying 3 times more than us regular people. shukapaw Posted September 2, 2019 #3 Share Posted September 2, 2019 It is recommended that you make reservations for the shows. The YC guests have a "special" section set aside for them but it is in the back couple of rows of the theater... definitely not prime seating. Those with reservations are allowed to enter the theater at a pre-established time and at either 5 or 10 minutes before curtain time, those without reservations are allowed to enter (assuming there are seats left. ) So, short answer (in YC situation) reservations are NOT required. However, to get better seats, make reservations and show up a bit early. ~Brian
blordos Posted September 2, 2019 #4 Share Posted September 2, 2019 With the YC card you have early access to the theater and you can chose the best seats if available. The YC reservated seats are on the back row which we didn't like much. So we usually sits on the second or third row in front. The first row seems always busy ( by the very early birds I suppose ). And some of the first row seats are reserved for the kids from the MSC Kids Club.
