Booking Alcoves?

Can anyone shed some light on booking alcoves on Solstice? Is there a time window that you have to be within? Cruise Planner says they can be booked, but when I try to, no luck. Waited 45 minutes on hold and then got frustrated and hung up.

You can book them online...they are listed under the dining heading

Yes, but when I went to try, system said unavailable. Thus my frustrating and aborted 45 minute hold with Celebrity.

It is possible that they are sold out for the day/days you were interested in booking.

We just booked one of the new alcoves on the Equinox.  I did it online. There are only 6 of them, and I would guess that they will probably sell them out. There were a total of 8 on the Reflection and Silhouette.

I tried over and over to book an Edge cabana, each time getting an error or "no offerings found." Then some wonderful person here posted the tip that I needed to only select ONE guest when trying to book, and voila, it worked like a charm. If you choose 2 or more guests when booking cabanas/alcoves, the system throws up its hands and won't work.
