Breakaway Oct 27 - Free flights? Tips for Breakaway

Hi cruisers,
We are looking forward to our adults cruise next month, on the Breakaway.
Do you have any DOS/DONTS for that ship??

Also, if you are on this cruise - did you receive your flight info yet (if you got the free flights included)? We will be flying out of DTW.
We haven't, and we are 43 days out. We just booked last week, and we wanted the deviation of flying in a day early - but they said we were too late 😞 (I think 60 days out?)

So, you can check with your fellow cruisers on your roll call https://www.cruisecritic.com/rollcalls/norwegian-breakaway-october-27-2019/

DO enjoy your cruise.

DON'T let the other 4500 people on your cruise impact your enjoyment.

DO show up to the port with your list of dining reservations and show reservation requests and DO have the concierge staff help you with those reservations as soon as you embark (DON'T delay). Two main theater shows, comedy shows, escape room sessions, Canvas by U painting classes (extra charge), Velvet dinner show (extra charge - but you would be seated in the best seats before general admission starts).

DO take a tour of the Thermal Suite at the spa before muster and DO buy a Thermal Suite pass if you are steam and sauna people.

DO get to know your butler and ask them to bring you special snacks (in addition to the default snacks) ever afternoon. We always have bowls of M&Ms, Gummy Bears, and bar mix filled every day.

DO enjoy insuite dining, especially on busy port mornings. DON'T limit yourself to what's on the breakfast card. DO write whatever you want from the restaurant on the card (including filet steak and eggs) and your butler will serve it on a white tablecloth.

Are you booked in the Haven or in a suite outside of the Haven? Otherwise, not sure about having a butler assigned  to your cabin .

If you are not in the Haven and plan to use the mid-ship pool,it is small and can get very crowded. Also ,the Atrium area can be busy, crowded and smokey  as most activities take place there and the casino is open so smoke filters through the area.

Breakfast and lunch are pleasant in the dining rooms- Taste or Savor. It is more relaxing to have these meals in the dining room than the buffet.

Perhaps you will return to CC with a review of your cruise.

We are on the cruise the week after you and made our reservation last week.  We were told the same thing but then our NCL agent found a work around. If we stay in their motel we can do the deviation. Since we are flying from the west coast we felt it was worth it, after all we had to find a motel to stay at anyway.
