meh56 Posted October 6, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2019 I have posted on the disabled site as well but it is not as active as this board. We are looking at cruising on Oosterdam or Eurodam but need an accessible cabin which I know will have a walk in or roll in shower. My question is does the balcony cabin also have a seating area like a mini sofa? Holland America reservations said they do not show that in the deck plan. I am looking a cabin 6049 on the Oosterdam right now but can change cabin or ship to get the right fit for what we need. Thank you.
catl331 Posted October 6, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 6, 2019 (edited) Here are pictures of Noordam 6049, which I believe is the same: http://halfacts.com/vista-class/6049-noordam/ The O'dam had a dry-dock in Apr 2018, so the TV has probably been replaced with a larger model and other minor changes may have been made. Pictures of other HC cabins are available on the halfacts site also. Edited October 6, 2019 by catl331
510picker Posted October 6, 2019 #3 Share Posted October 6, 2019 I would venture to guess that 6049 on the Oosterdam will not have a sofa. Unless you have a suite, most accessible verandah cabins have the sofa removed to make room for a wheelchair or scooter. You can can see some accessible cabin photos from our cruises at the link below, including cruises on both the Oosterdam and the Eurodam. https://pbase.com/510picker/cruise_gallery
