 This surprises me very much!  So attired at breakfast or lunch, fine.  At dinner, such attire for YC is not OK with me.  Such attire would diminish the YC atmosphere that I expect to experience.

I have to admit that I was very surprised to see it on a Med cruise.  They weren't even smart shorts/t-shirts, they struck me as sloppy-looking.

I certainly want to thank all who have provided information about the YC dress code for dinner and in the evening.  I will be bringing my tux simply because I will have wanted to wear it for New Year's Eve on the Volendam preceding my cruise on Meraviglia.  I will probably wear it at least once during my cruise.  Otherwise, most evenings I expect to wear my blazer with or without a tie.  

 

During Breakfast and Lunch in the YC Restaurant and in the Top Sail Lounge, is wearing some nice shorts and a polo type shirt acceptable?

Yes ... no problems at all.  It's what most men wear when in the warmer regions.
