Morning All,

If I am right in saying on board a cruise there will be the option to play things like five a side football or table tennis?

while I don’t take it to seriously I wouldn’t mind a go on an upcoming cruise and wondered what the take up was like and if it comes an at extra cost?

cheers

Yes depending on the ship there are more or less sports activities. I don’t recall five aside football but I may just have missed this. There are traditional cruise games like shuffleboard and quotes on a regular basis.

They don’t charge for most organised events and if there is a fee it will be made clear in the daily events guide. Attached is an extract from the FAQs. Events don’t always go ahead, depends on the crowd onboard at the time.

“If you’re feeling a bit more active, our ocean-view gymnasiums, personal trainers, sports courts, running/jogging tracks, swimming pools and a comprehensive well-being programme are designed to help you do just that.

Sports you can enjoy include:

Basketball (Aurora and Azura)
Darts
Football
Table tennis (Not available on all ships)
Tennis (Deck tennis, with a smaller court than normal tennis, available on Arcadia, Aurora, Oceana and Ventura). Rackets will be provided on-board.

The tennis, football and basketball courts can be found in the sports court areas on Sky deck (Sports deck for Ventura).

What's included in the price of your holiday

Our fully equipped, state-of-the-art gyms; sports courts for football, deck tennis, basketball etc; choice of swimming pools, whirlpool spas, saunas and steam rooms are all included in your fare.”

There is actually football and cricket on Britannia. Its played in a "meshed" in area.

On our cruise on Ventura this year they had family and adult tennis, cricket and archery sessions held in the sports court, arranged by the Entertainments Team at no extra cost.

There are also golf nets up there.
