What time can I board the ship?

On another thread it was requested we start new topics???;)

 

So - we are on the Explorer out of Cape Liberty on 7/23, what time can we board the ship, we are driving so it was be awsome to get there early and check it out when the ship is empty!!

We've boarded as early as 11am--but we weren't the only ones--the ship is never "empty"! But, by getting there early, you do get to enjoy the ship for your 1st day. Remember tho, you may not be able to get into your cabin until much later, so don't lug too much stuff onboard with you or you'll have to carry it around.

It also depends on what time the departing passengers actually depart. Last year, there was a slight delay and they didn't start boarding until 1 - there were several wedding parties, and they boarded first. We were on the first shuttle of suite passengers and boarded shortly before 2 - and our cabin steward was just finishing up our cabin at that time.
