MissLianne Posted December 5, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 5, 2019 Posting this on behalf of my brother in law. We are late in the game booking on the Navigator of the Seas for winter sailing for a family event. My BIL & SIL have 3 children and have never cruised (10 y/o, 5y/o and 2 y/o) we are planning on booking balcony staterooms (willing to also entertain other ideas- the suites available also allow a max of 4?). I don’t have children myself so I have no idea what the 3rd and 4th bed options look like in reality besides photos online. There are no cabins available to accommodate 5 on this ship. Given it’s a 3 night duration we are toying with the idea of putting one of their children in our stateroom (my husband & I). But likely that child will want to sleep with their parents. With a pullout couch and an upper bunk is there reasonable space to have the 5 year old and 2 year old share the sofa bed for example? Any advice / tips? Clarea Posted December 5, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 5, 2019 Yes, I don't see a problem with the two youngest sharing a sofa bed.
karena1 Posted December 5, 2019 #3 Share Posted December 5, 2019 They could also get adjoining cabins so the door would open between the 2 rooms. That way you have 2 bathrooms instead of one.

aimsta Posted December 5, 2019 #6 Share Posted December 5, 2019 We recently booked an owners suite for our family of 5, cheaper than 2 x ocean views at the time. You need to call Royal to book. Not available to book online, even my TA said she couldn't book for me, we had to book with Royal then transfer booking to her.
BearBear12 Posted December 6, 2019 #7 Share Posted December 6, 2019 If it’s only three nights I would add one to your room reservation - as mentioned the two youngest can share the sofa bed no problem.

Exceptions to the maximum of 4 capacity can be made when one of the passengers is under 3 years old.
